Woman held at Ahmedabad airport for smuggling ganja in chocolate packs

Ahmedabad: Customs officials at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport in the city arrested a woman passenger arriving from Bangkok after seizing nearly one kg of hydroponic marijuana concealed inside chocolate packets.
The interception took place on February 2, when officials checked her luggage and found nine sealed chocolate packs. Upon opening them, they discovered green powder instead of confectionery. Forensic examination confirmed it to be hydroponic ganja weighing 948 grams, with an estimated market value of Rs 94 lakh.
Authorities have initiated a detailed investigation into the woman’s travel history to identify possible links to a larger drug smuggling network. DeshGujarat
