Subdued Winter in Gujarat as Night Temperatures Remain Elevated

Ahmedabad: Minimum temperatures across most parts of Gujarat remained above normal, as stated in the latest weather observations of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) this morning, indicating relatively warmer night conditions in the state.
Among major cities, Surat reported the highest minimum temperature at 22.8°C, which is 6.9°C above normal, followed by Veraval (20.5°C, +4.4°C), Porbandar (20.3°C, +5.4°C), Bhavnagar (20.2°C, +4.9°C), and Okha (20.4°C, +1.2°C).
In central Gujarat, Vadodara recorded a minimum of 19.4°C, 5.2°C above normal, while Ahmedabad registered 18.6°C, showing a sharp positive departure of 5.4°C. Gandhinagar also remained warm at 17.8°C, 4.5°C above normal.
Relatively cooler conditions prevailed in parts of Kutch and Saurashtra. Naliya recorded the lowest minimum temperature in the state at 13.8°C, though still 2.5°C above normal. Bhuj (16.8°C, +4.0°C) and Amreli (17.0°C, +3.8°C) also stayed above seasonal averages.
Humidity levels at 0830 IST ranged from 51% in Ahmedabad to 82% in Bhavnagar, indicating moderate morning moisture across coastal and inland regions.
IMD weather reports over the past few days have shown a consistent trend of above-normal night temperatures across Gujarat, suggesting subdued winter conditions despite clear and dry weather. DeshGujarat
