Fake milk factory busted in Sabarkantha; five nabbed

Sabarkantha: The local police today busted a factory allegedly manufacturing milk using toxic chemicals in the Salal area of Prantij taluka district and detained five persons, seizing goods worth over ₹71 lakh during the operation.
According to police, the illegal activity was being carried out at a unit named Shri Satya Dairy Products, located near the railway crossing in Salal. The factory was allegedly producing adulterated milk using hazardous substances such as urea fertiliser, detergent powder, cosmetic soda, palmolein oil and milk powder, posing a serious health risk to consumers.
Acting on specific inputs, police conducted a raid along with teams from the Food and Drugs Department and the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL). During the operation, officials seized large quantities of adulterated milk, raw materials and equipment used in the manufacturing process, collectively valued at more than ₹71 lakh.
Police said five accused have been arrested in connection with the case, and further investigation is underway to identify the supply chain and distribution network of the adulterated milk.
