Gas leak at Valsad factory leaves 4 hospitalised

Valsad: At least four individuals were admitted to hospital following a gas leak at a factory in the Sarigam Industrial Area in Umbergaon taluka.
A Gujarat Pollution Control Board official stated that the leak originated from a reactor at Cynax Metachem, leading to eye irritation among those present inside the facility. Four people, including the company’s owner Vinod Patel, were hospitalised after being exposed to the gas. The three others who were hospitalised are Dinesh Verma, Prince Kumar, and Pundi Kumar.
Officials promptly sealed off the surrounding area to prevent further risk, and the leak was contained using sand and sodium bicarbonate. The precise nature of the gas released during the manufacturing process remains unknown, and police have initiated an investigation to determine the cause of the incident. DeshGujarat
