AMC to set up Medical Institute and Super Speciality Hospital in Nikol

Ahmedabad: Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC) has, in its annual budget for FY 2026, announced a plan to set up a super speciality hospital and medical institute in the Nikol area of the city. The hospital will be located in the Viratnagar Ward-based AMC MET plot. The hospital will offer the latest treatments for heart, kidney, cancer, neurological, orthopaedic and other diseases. The AMC has proposed an allocation of Rs. 50 crore for this project.
AMC has in its budget also announced urban health centres and community health centres in Jashodanagar TP 64, Saijpurbogha TP 66, and Shahibaug Ward in addition to physiotherapy centres in Sabarmati and Chandlodiya wards. Allocation of Rs. 32 crore is proposed on this account. DeshGujarat
