Ahmedabad: A fire broke out in a wheelchair godown located behind the GSTV office near the ISKCON Temple this afternoon, prompting a swift response from the fire department. Eight fire tenders and around 40 personnel were deployed to control the blaze.
Chief Fire Officer Amit Dongre said the department received an alert from GSTV, and teams immediately rushed to the spot. The fire was brought under control after sustained firefighting efforts, and no injuries were reported in the incident.
A preliminary investigation indicates that the blaze may have originated during ongoing fabrication work at the site, where vehicles and wheelchairs had reportedly been manufactured for the past five years. Firefighters also carried out ventilation measures to disperse heavy smoke from the premises.
Further investigation into the exact cause of the fire is underway. DeshGujarat
