Western Railway to Run Mahashivratri Mela Special Trains in Gujarat

Gir Somnath: Western Railway has decided to run special trains for the convenience of pilgrims on the occasion of the holy festival of Mahashivratri. Considering the large crowds expected at religious places, including Somnath, four pairs of unreserved daily “Mahashivratri Mela Special” trains will operate from February 13 to February 17, 2026, at special fares.

According to Atul Kumar Tripathi, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager of the Bhavnagar Division, the Rajkot–Veraval–Rajkot (09513/09514) Special will depart from Rajkot at 6:55 am daily and reach Veraval at 10:55 am. The return service will leave Veraval at 3:20 pm and arrive in Rajkot at 8:00 pm, halting at Keshod, Junagadh, Jetalsar, Virpur, Gondal, and Bhaktinagar stations.

The Bhavnagar–Veraval–Bhavnagar (09581/09582) Special will depart from Veraval at 6:50 am and reach Bhavnagar Terminus at 2:00 pm. The return train will leave Bhavnagar at 2:50 pm and arrive in Veraval at 9:35 pm, with halts at Jetpur, Kunkavav, Lathi, Dhasa, Dhola, and Sihor.

The Veraval–Gandhigram–Veraval (09584/09583) Special will depart from Veraval at 4:00 am and reach Gandhigram at 12:00 pm before returning as per schedule.

Additionally, the Veraval–Junagadh–Veraval (09591/09592) meter-gauge unreserved daily special will operate during the same period. Train 09591 will depart Veraval at 9:15 am and arrive in Junagadh at 1:00 pm, while train 09592 will leave Junagadh at 1:25 pm and reach Veraval at 5:05 pm.
