Ahmedabad: Amid rising road accidents in the city, another fatal incident has come to light from the Vatva GIDC area, where a speeding car crashed into a tree, killing the driver on the spot.

The deceased has been identified as Akash Goswami, a resident of Vavol in Gandhinagar, who was employed at a private company in Changodar. According to information, his wife had gone to her parental home in Barejadi, and on February 12, Akash was travelling in his car to bring her back when the accident occurred.

While driving at high speed on the Vatva GIDC road, he reportedly lost control of the steering, causing the vehicle to ram into a roadside tree. The impact of the collision was so severe that Akash sustained critical injuries and died within seconds at the scene.

Locals rushed out immediately after the crash, but he could not be saved. Akash had been married for three years, and his last rites were performed at Veda village as per religious customs. The tragic accident has left the family mourning the loss of their 24-year-old son.

Traffic police from the concerned division have initiated further investigation into the incident. DeshGujarat
