Dahod: After unseasonal rain hit parts of Dahod and Godhra, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a forecast of rainfall in four districts of Gujarat.

According to the IMD, light rain and thunderstorms are likely to occur at isolated places in Sabarkantha, Aravalli, Mahisagar, and Dahod districts in the eastern parts of the state during the next 24 hours.

Light showers lashed Dahod and surrounding rural areas, including Singvad, Limkheda, Chhapari, Raliyati, Jalat, and Rabdal, as well as Godhra in Panchmahal district since late last night, while cloudy weather persisted in Ambaji of Banaskantha. The unexpected showers have heightened anxiety among farmers, particularly due to the risk posed to standing crops during this sensitive seasonal period.

Meanwhile, minimum temperatures across the state remained above normal in several districts. Among the highest departures, Ahmedabad recorded a minimum of 19.2°C, which was 4°C above normal, while Deesa reported 17.3°C, about 4.1°C above the seasonal average. Similarly, Vadodara (19.4°C, +3.7°C) and Gandhinagar (18.5°C, +3.4°C) witnessed notably warmer nights compared to typical February conditions.

Rajkot logged 15.2°C (-0.6°C), Porbandar 15.0°C (-1.4°C), and Amreli 15.0°C (-0.1°C), reflecting relatively cooler nighttime conditions in the region. DeshGujarat
