Gujarat Govt Receives 41 Complaints on Mandatory Nano Urea Distribution

Gandhinagar: The Gujarat government has received 41 complaints in the past one year regarding the alleged compulsory distribution of nano liquid urea bottles along with the sale of conventional urea fertiliser in the state.
The information was shared by the Agriculture Minister in the Assembly in response to a question raised by Kankrej MLA Amrutji Motiji Thakor.
As per the reply, as of December 31, 2025, a total of 41 complaints were received alleging that farmers were being mandatorily given bottles of nano liquid urea while purchasing urea fertiliser.
Regarding action taken, the government stated that necessary investigations were conducted into the complaints. As a result, 23 notices were issued and 12 licences were suspended.
The government further informed the House that instructions have been circulated directing dealers not to force farmers to purchase nano liquid urea bottles. Authorities have also been directed to take action as per rules if such cases come to notice. DeshGujarat
