Flight Disruption Continues at Ahmedabad Airport Amid Gulf Conflict; 20 Cancelled Today
March 02, 2026
Ahmedabad: Flight operations between Ahmedabad and several Gulf destinations remained fully disrupted on Monday, marking the third consecutive day of cancellations at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport due to ongoing airspace closures in parts of the Middle East amid the escalating Iran conflict.
Multiple arrivals and departures to key Gulf hubs, including Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Kuwait City, Doha, Sharjah and Jeddah, were cancelled as airlines suspended services following the closure of airspace by several Middle Eastern countries. The restrictions come after the United States and Israel carried out airstrikes on Iran, triggering retaliatory action and heightened regional tensions.
