GST Revenue of Gujarat Grows 19% Year-on-Year in February 2026

Gandhinagar: The state of Gujarat posted strong double-digit growth in Goods and Services Tax (GST) revenue in February 2026. As per figures released by the Union Finance Ministry, Gujarat’s post-settlement State GST (SGST) collection rose 19% year-on-year to ₹7,598 crore, up from ₹6,388 crore in February 2025.

On a pre-settlement basis, the state collected ₹4,276 crore in SGST during February 2026, registering a 9% increase compared to ₹3,941 crore in the corresponding month last year.

Across India, post-settlement SGST collections from states and Union Territories grew by 7%, reaching ₹88,764 crore in February 2026, compared to ₹83,340 crore a year earlier. Pre-settlement SGST collections increased by 5% to ₹45,900 crore, up from ₹43,704 crore in February 2025.

Among states and Union Territories, Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu recorded a sharp 62% growth in post-settlement SGST, followed by Sikkim at 26% and Haryana at 23%. Gujarat stood among the top major states with a 19% rise. In contrast, Jharkhand (-44%), Chhattisgarh (-23%), Lakshadweep (-21%), and West Bengal (-11%) witnessed notable year-on-year declines.
