Seven Held in Dahod for Attacking Gau Rakshaks, Vandalising Vehicle

Dahod: The local police have arrested seven persons in connection with the attack on Gau Rakshaks and vandalism of a vehicle in the Kasba Patni Chowk area of Dahod city that occurred on Sunday night. A case has been registered against 12 accused, and the remaining suspects are being traced.
The arrested accused have been identified as Naeem Abdul Rahim Qureshi, Arbaaz Shoyeb Jada, Ansar Idris Bhunga, Shahbaz Sharif Bazariya, Sajjad alias Kalo Shoyeb Samad, Qasim Asraf Oja and Raja Idris Patuk.
Three of the accused have been produced before a court and remanded in police custody for three days. Separate police teams have been formed to investigate the case, and the attackers are being identified using Netram and CCTV footage.
Meanwhile, allegations and counter-allegations have surfaced following the incident. A day earlier, Gau Rakshaks and members of Hindu organisations met Dahod district police chief Ravirajsinh Jadeja and submitted their demands.
Whereas on Wednesday, leaders of the minority community from the Motaghachiwad area also met the police chief and submitted a complaint. They alleged that Kanubhai Dhulabhai Bharwad, Hiral Kantharia, Hemanshu Yadav, Rahul Yadav, Pintu Kalal, Tushar Yadav and Shyam Thakor, along with four to five others, were speeding through their locality on cars and bikes. When local residents objected, the group allegedly abused and insulted them.
The community leaders further alleged that these individuals frequently entered the Nawar area to catch cattle, assaulted people and created fear among residents. They demanded legal action against those involved. DeshGujarat
