Ahmedabad – Mumbai Vande Bharat Express to Run with 4 Additional Coaches Temporarily

Ahmedabad: In a move aimed at accommodating increased passenger demand, the Western Railway has announced the temporary augmentation of coaches in the Vande Bharat Express operating between Mumbai Central railway station and Ahmedabad Junction railway station.
According to railway officials, Train No. 22961/22962 Mumbai Central–Ahmedabad–Mumbai Central Vande Bharat Express will be augmented with four additional coaches, increasing the total composition from 16 coaches to 20 coaches.
The revised coach composition will come into effect for journeys commencing from March 9, 2026, to March 31, 2026. During this period, both directions of the service will operate with the expanded 20-coach rake to cater to higher passenger traffic on the busy corridor between Gujarat and Maharashtra.
Railway authorities have advised passengers to plan their travel accordingly and check the latest train updates on the official enquiry portal of Indian Railways. DeshGujarat
