Hindu Minor Lured Into Love Trap, Fake Aadhaar Used to Book Hotel Room; Three Held in Ahmedabad

Ahmedabad: Police have registered a case in Vasna area of Ahmedabad after a minor girl was allegedly lured into a relationship by a youth from another community, and a fake Aadhaar card was created to take her to a hotel. Three accused have been arrested following a complaint filed by the girl’s father at Vasna Police Station, officials said.

According to the complaint, the accused allegedly trapped the minor in a love affair despite knowing that she and her two cousins were underage. Police said the accused tried to take the girl away from the lawful guardianship of her family and had even attempted to take her to a hotel earlier using forged identity documents.

Three arrested, lived in rented house in Guptanagar

Based on technical surveillance, police arrested Ameerali Sakurali Sheikh, Mohammadsiraj Fakirmahommad Salmani, and Altafali Kismatali Ansari. Investigation revealed that the accused were living in a rented house in Guptanagar, Vasna, where they allegedly came in contact with the minor and lured her.

Police also found that the accused had been in contact with the girl for nearly a year and had persuaded her to meet them despite knowing her age. During the probe, it also emerged that a youth named Brijesh allegedly facilitated the meeting between the minor and one of the accused and pressured her to maintain the relationship.

Fake Aadhaar card made to book hotel room

During the investigation, police found that a duplicate Aadhaar card with a false name and incorrect age was prepared to book a hotel room. The fake document was allegedly created by Arvind Ajaybhai Chauhan to help the accused arrange hotel accommodation.

Police said the forged Aadhaar card had been prepared around one to one-and-a-half years ago and was intended to be used for hotel bookings at any time. The accused have been taken into custody and further investigation is underway. DeshGujarat
