Rain subsides in Gujarat: only two talukas received showers in 24 hours

Gandhinagar: After a widespread spell of rain on Thursday, unseasonal showers subsided across Gujarat on Friday, with only two places in the state recording measurable rainfall in the 24 hours ending at 6 am today.
According to the State Emergency Operation Center, Gir Gadhada taluka of Gir Somnath district received heavy rain, recording 66 mm (2.6 inches) during the period, followed by Una, which recorded 11 mm (0.43 inch) rainfall. No significant precipitation was reported from other districts of the state.
Furthermore, as per the IMD forecast issued last evening, the weather is likely to now remain dry across the state with no prediction of rainfall in any part as of now. DeshGujarat
