Western Railway to Add AC 3-Tier Coaches in 12 Long-Distance Trains from Ahmedabad Division

Ahmedabad: Passengers travelling on long-distance trains under the Ahmedabad division will soon get improved comfort, as Western Railway has decided to permanently add one additional AC 3-tier coach to 12 trains.
The decision has been taken in view of the growing demand for AC class travel. From May 21, trains that will get the extra coach include Bandra Terminus–Gandhidham Express, Ahmedabad–Prayagraj Express, Sabarmati–Varanasi Express, and Sabarmati–Thawe Express.
From May 22, the Dadar–Bhuj Express will be upgraded, followed by the Gandhidham–Howrah Express on May 23.
On May 24, three trains — Indore–Asarwa Express, Ahmedabad–Patna Express, and Sabarmati–Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra Express will receive the additional coach.
Further, the extra coach will be added to Sabarmati–Lucknow Express from May 25, Sabarmati–Sultanpur Express from May 26, and Ahmedabad–Kolkata Express from May 27.
Timings of some trains revised
In a separate development, Western Railway has partially revised the timings of a few trains to improve punctuality. The new schedule will come into effect from March 25 until further notice.
Train No. 12958 New Delhi–Sabarmati Swarna Jayanti Rajdhani Express will arrive and depart earlier at Palanpur and Mehsana stations.
Train No. 20626 Bhagat Ki Kothi–MGR Chennai Central Superfast Express will have revised timings at Bhildi station, while Train No. 12834 Howrah–Ahmedabad Express will arrive five minutes later at Ahmedabad station. DeshGujarat
