Surat: In a swift operation, Surat Police have foiled an alleged murder plot in the Godadara area, where a youth was targeted over a dispute involving just ₹1,000.
According to police, the victim, identified as Sachin Chaudhary, had borrowed ₹1,000 from the main accused, Kanhaiya Vishwakarma. When the amount was not returned, Vishwakarma allegedly conspired with his associates to eliminate Chaudhary using sharp weapons.
Acting on inputs, police intervened before the plan could be executed, averting a potentially serious crime.

Dramatic CCTV visuals of the operation have surfaced, showing policemen intercepting the accused on moving motorcycles. In one instance, an officer is seen grabbing a suspect by the neck while another climbs onto the accused’s shoulders to bring him under control—highlighting the danger taken by the personnel during the arrest.
Police have arrested seven individuals in connection with the case, including Manish Gupta and Priyesh Dubey. Sharp weapons have also been seized from their possession.
Efforts are currently underway to trace and apprehend the main accused, Kanhaiya Vishwakarma, who remains absconding.
