963 PG Medical Seats Added in Gujarat in Last Two Years

Gandhinagar: The Gujarat government informed the Assembly that the state currently has 32 postgraduate (PG) medical colleges with a total of 3,724 approved seats.
The information was provided by the Minister of State for Health in a written reply during the Budget session of the Assembly. As per the reply, as of 31 January 2026, Gujarat has 32 PG medical colleges across the state, with 3,724 postgraduate medical seats approved in these colleges.
The government further stated that the number of PG medical seats has increased significantly over the last two years. The state added 254 seats in 2024–25 and 709 seats in 2025–26, taking the total to the present level. DeshGujarat
