April 09, 2026
Vadodara: Karelibagh police have registered a case against the operator of a paying guest (PG) accommodation in Anandnagar for allegedly violating official notification norms related to tenant verification and rental agreements.
According to a complaint filed with Karelibagh Police Station, routine checks are being carried out to verify individuals coming from outside the city in order to maintain peace, security, and public safety. Police noted that some outsiders take shelter without proper documentation and may engage in unlawful activities, making such verification drives necessary.
During one such inspection, police visited the “Happy Home” PG in the Karelibagh Anandnagar area. The operator was identified as Ronak Kantilal Mehta, a resident of Akshata Society in Karelibagh. Upon questioning, Mehta allegedly failed to provide details of any rental agreement executed with the occupants staying at the premises.
Following this, a complaint was registered against him for violation of the notification. Further investigation into the matter is underway. DeshGujarat
