Watch: Fire Breaks Out at Iskcon Atria in Vadodara; Over 10 Tenders Deployed

Vadodara: A major fire broke out in a multi-storey commercial building in the Gotri area of the city on Wednesday afternoon, triggering panic among occupants and prompting a large-scale emergency response.

The blaze erupted in a 10-storey commercial complex called Iskcon Atria-2, with flames quickly spreading to the upper floors. Thick plumes of smoke and intense flames were visible from a distance, causing alarm in the surrounding area.

Considering the severity of the incident, the Vadodara Fire Brigade declared a “major call” and rushed multiple teams from three fire stations to the spot. More than 10 fire tenders were deployed to bring the fire under control.

Occupants evacuated the building and gathered outside as the fire spread rapidly across the top floors. Firefighters launched an intensive operation using advanced equipment, including snorkel hydraulic platforms, to douse the flames in the high-rise structure.

After sustained efforts, the fire brigade managed to bring the blaze under control and prevent it from spreading further. No casualties have been reported so far.

While the exact cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained, preliminary reports suggest a possible short circuit. However, significant property damage is feared. Authorities are currently assessing the extent of the damage, and further investigation is underway. DeshGujarat
