Gujarat Govt Extends RTE Online Application Deadline to April 23
April 17, 2026
Ahmedabad: The Gujarat government has extended the deadline for submitting online applications under the Right to Education (RTE) Act for the academic year 2026–27.
Under Section 12(1)(C) of the RTE Act, 2009, the state facilitates free admission for children from economically weaker sections and disadvantaged groups to 25% of seats in unaided private primary schools at the Class 1 level.
Earlier, the last date to fill out the online application form was April 17, 2026, until midnight. However, considering various factors, the state government has now decided to extend the application deadline.
As per the revised schedule, parents can now submit their applications online through the official web portal until April 23, 2026 (Thursday). DeshGujarat
