Ahmedabad Crime Branch Cop Injured in Knife Attack During Drug Raid

Ahmedabad: In a shocking incident, an Ahmedabad Crime Branch team was attacked late on Friday night during a drug raid near Bhat village. The team had acted on a tip-off about a youth allegedly transporting MD drugs in a car.
According to officials, police attempted to intercept the suspect’s vehicle, but the accused tried to flee, leading to a dramatic chase. During the pursuit, the suspect’s car collided with the Crime Branch vehicle.
Following the collision, the accused stepped out of the car and allegedly attacked a Police Sub-Inspector (PSI) with a knife, injuring him. Other members of the Crime Branch team quickly overpowered and arrested the accused.
During a search of the vehicle, police recovered around 300 grams of MD drugs, valued at over ₹25 lakh.
The injured PSI was immediately rushed to a hospital, where he is currently undergoing treatment. Police have registered a case, and further investigation is underway. DeshGujarat
