Rajkot Police Seize 400 Litres of Suspected Adulterated Milk

Rajkot: In a significant crackdown on food adulteration, the Rajkot Rural Special Operations Group (SOG) raided ‘Dwarkadhish Milk Dairy’ in Jhanjmer village of Dhoraji taluka and seized around 400 litres of suspected adulterated milk. Samples have been sent for laboratory testing, and legal action has been initiated against the dairy operators.

Acting on specific intelligence inputs, the SOG team conducted the raid and uncovered an alleged operation where milk collected from rural areas was being adulterated with various substances to artificially increase its quantity and fat content for higher profits.

During the operation, officials recovered approximately 400 litres of suspicious milk from the premises. The Food Safety Officer was informed, and samples were collected in the presence of police officials for detailed analysis to determine the nature of adulteration.

Preliminary investigation has revealed the involvement of two individuals in the case. Police have taken action against Rajubhai alias Rahul Dudabhai Kasotiya and Sagarbhai Dudabhai Kasotiya, both residents of Jhanjmer village.

Further investigation is underway, and authorities said strict action will be taken based on the laboratory report. DeshGujarat
