Teen Lures, Molests 5-Yr-Old Boy in Mosque Toilet in Surat

Surat: A shocking case has come to light from Lal Gate area where a 15-year-old boy allegedly lured a 5-year-old child into a mosque restroom with the promise of money, molested him, and committed an unnatural offence, police said.

The incident occurred two days ago on Friday around 2 PM. The child’s mother had sent him to his maternal grandfather’s place for prayers. When the boy needed to use the restroom, the accused teen, who was present there, enticed him inside by showing cash. Once alone, the teen removed the child’s clothes, molested him, and carried out the assault. As the terrified child tried to scream, the accused covered his mouth and braced the door shut with his foot and later fled from the scene.

The boy immediately confided in his maternal grandfather, who rushed him to SMIMER Hospital for a medical examination. The child’s father was out of town on business at the time; upon his return on Sunday, his wife informed him of the ordeal. They then lodged a formal complaint at Lal Gate Police Station.

Police have registered a case against the accused under relevant sections of the POCSO Act and launched an investigation. DeshGujarat.
