Palanpur: Legal professionals in Palanpur staged a protest rally opposing the government’s decision to relocate the local court to Jagana, about 8 km from the city.

Around 1,000 lawyers, under the banner of the Palanpur Bar Association, demanded immediate cancellation of the proposed shift, insisting that the court should remain within city limits to ensure accessibility and the smooth functioning of legal proceedings.

According to the protesters, the relocation would create significant logistical challenges, including increased travel time and congestion on the route, hampering their daily work.

The legal community said it would continue its agitation until the decision to shift the court is withdrawn. DeshGujarat
