Multi-Level Parking with 500-Car Capacity Opens at Pavagadh

Panchmahal: In a major relief for pilgrims visiting the Pavagadh hill shrine, a newly constructed multi-level car parking facility at Manchi has been inaugurated, addressing long-standing congestion and parking issues at the popular pilgrimage site.

Built jointly by the Gujarat government and the Pavagadh Mahakali Temple Trust, the facility has the capacity to accommodate up to 500 cars at a time. Officials said the project aims to streamline traffic movement and improve visitor convenience for the lakhs of devotees who visit the temple annually.

Until now, pilgrims arriving in private vehicles often faced severe parking shortages at Manchi, leading to traffic snarls and delays. The new infrastructure is expected to significantly ease these challenges and ensure smoother access to the temple.

The parking complex, equipped with modern amenities, was inaugurated by temple trust trustee Vinodbhai Variya and opened for public use.

Devotees welcomed the move, noting that the facility will enable easier and safer parking, allowing for a more hassle-free darshan experience. Authorities said the project forms a key part of the broader development plan for Pavagadh as a major religious tourism destination. DeshGujarat
