Over 79,000 Gujarat Students Appear for NEET-UG Today

Gandhinagar: More than 79,000 students from Gujarat are appearing for the NEET-UG examination today, conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission to undergraduate medical and dental courses.
Across India, over 23 lakh candidates are taking part in the examination, which is being held on Sunday from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm. The exam is conducted on a large scale, with centres set up in major cities across the country as well as at select international locations.
In Gujarat, examination centres have been established in 31 cities. In Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar alone, arrangements have been made to accommodate around 12,000 candidates, ensuring smooth conduct of the test.
The NEET-UG question paper consists of 180 questions, carrying a total of 720 marks, with a duration of three hours. As per the marking scheme, candidates receive 4 marks for each correct answer, while 1 mark is deducted for every incorrect response.
