12 of Lalu Sindhi Gang Booked Under GujCTOC in Vadodara

Vadodara: The Detection of Crime Branch (DCB) on Sunday registered a case under the Gujarat Control of Terrorism and Organised Crime Act (GujCTOC) against 12 members of the Lalu Sindhi gang.

Police said the group has been linked to over 106 offences across different parts of the state. The gang’s alleged kingpin, Lalchand Khanani alias Lalu Sindhi, alone faces 37 cases and has been booked under the Prevention of Anti-Social Activities Act (PASA) on six occasions.

Among the accused, one person, namely Mukesh Makhija, has been arrested, four are currently lodged in jail, and the remaining members, including the notorious Lalu Sindhi, are absconding.

Officials stated that the gang had been operating an organised crime network in the city for nearly a decade and was allegedly involved in serious offences including murder, extortion, dacoity, attacks on government officials, and violations under the Prohibition and Arms Acts. DeshGujarat
