Gujarat Board GSEB HSC Result 2026 Out: 84.33% Pass in Science, 92.71% in General Stream

Gandhinagar: The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB) has officially declared the results for the Class 12 (HSC) General and Science streams, along with the GUJCET-2026 scores. Students who appeared for the exams can access their results by visiting the official website gseb.org and entering their allotted seat number.
This year, the General stream recorded a high pass percentage of 92.71%, and the Science stream followed at 84.33%.
General Stream: Girls Outshine Boys
In the General stream, which includes the vocational and higher basic streams, a total of 4,35,102 regular candidates appeared for the exams held between February 26 and March 18, 2026. Out of these, 4,03,362 students qualified for the certificate.
Gender-wise data continues to show a strong performance by female students:
Girls: 95.41% pass rate.
Boys: 90.10% pass rate.
Top Performers:
Highest Result District: Ahwa Dang leads the state with a 97.88% success rate.
Lowest Result District: Ahmedabad (City) recorded the lowest at 87.10%.
Perfect Scores: A remarkable 2,030 schools achieved a 100% result. Additionally, centers like Tadav, Kotda, Kangvai, and Prashnavada saw all appearing students pass.
Prisoner Success: The board also facilitated exams for 40 prisoners, out of whom 22 passed.
Science Stream and GUJCET Analysis
The Science stream saw 1,11,090 regular candidates appearing across 156 centers. The Group A students performed exceptionally well with a 90.79% pass rate, while Group B recorded 79.87%.
Stream Highlights:
Highest Result Center: Kumbhariya at 98.62%.
Lowest Result Center: Limdi (Dahod) at 42.98%.
District Performance: Morbi emerged as the top district with 94.85%, while Dahod was at the bottom with 57.44%.
Medium of Instruction: English medium students achieved a slightly higher pass percentage of 85.13% compared to 84.32% for Gujarati medium students.
For GUJCET-2026, a total of 1,32,319 candidates appeared out of the 1,36,071 who registered. The distribution of percentile ranks shows that 695 students in Group A and 764 in Group B scored above the 99th percentile.
Security and Technical Standards
Board Chairman Mukesh Pandya noted that Gujarat is the first state in the country to conduct public examinations with 100% CCTV coverage. This year, the board implemented the “Paper Box Authentication and Tracking Application” to ensure secure delivery of question papers and utilized GPS monitoring for vehicles transporting GUJCET materials.
Next Steps for Students
For students who did not qualify, the board has announced that supplementary exams will be held soon. Under the “Best of Two” policy, students will have the opportunity to improve their results, with the higher of the two scores being considered for their final certificate.
