Odisha CM Majhi to Visit Gujarat from May 5–7 for Investment Outreach

Gandhinagar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi will undertake a three-day, four-city visit from May 5 to 7 to deepen engagement with Gujarat’s industrial ecosystem and attract fresh investments into Odisha’s rapidly expanding sectors. The outreach will focus on textiles, chemicals and petrochemicals, metals and downstream industries, and pharmaceuticals, with an emphasis on drawing investment interest from India’s western corridor.

The visit will begin with a major investors’ roadshow in Ahmedabad on May 5, followed by roundtable interactions with leading business figures and one-on-one meetings with key industry stakeholders to ensure targeted and outcome-driven discussions.

As part of Odisha’s port-led development strategy, the delegation will visit Mundra Port on May 6 to assess opportunities in logistics and port-based industries. This will be followed by an investor interaction in Vadodara on May 7, aimed at strengthening engagement with capital goods manufacturers. The itinerary also includes a visit to Kevadia.

The delegation comprises Industries, Skill Development and Technical Education Minister Sampad Chandra Swain, along with senior officials, underscoring the state’s proactive approach to investor facilitation.

Majhi stated that the Gujarat outreach is expected to create new opportunities and generate employment across key sectors, positioning the visit as a significant step in advancing Odisha’s vision of becoming a “Samruddha Odisha” by 2036. DeshGujarat
