Vadodara: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit his home state Gujarat on May 11, during which he will be conferred the ‘Sardar Ratna’ award by eight major organisations of the Patidar community.
During the visit, the Prime Minister will also inaugurate the newly constructed Sardar Dham Bhavan-3 in Vadodara.
The honour is being bestowed on Modi for his role in key social reforms, including the abolition of triple talaq, as well as his contributions to national development. The event is expected to be attended by the Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Minister, state cabinet members, and prominent leaders of the Patidar community.
‘Sardar Dham Bhavan-3’ (Shri Dushyant and Daksha Patel Complex), located next to L&T Knowledge City near Vaghodia Crossing on NH-8A, has been built at an estimated cost of ₹150 crore. Spread across approximately 4.75 lakh square feet, the facility is equipped with modern infrastructure aimed at supporting education and career development among Patidar youth.
The complex includes 278 accommodation rooms, an NRI guest house, an e-library, a career guidance centre, and a dedicated training facility. A large auditorium with a seating capacity of around 1,000 people has also been constructed to host community programmes and events.
Community leaders said the inauguration marks a significant step towards strengthening educational and employment opportunities for the Patidar community. The visit has generated considerable enthusiasm among community members. DeshGujarat
