May 07, 2026
Morbi: In yet another case highlighting the growing menace of stray dogs in the city, an eight-year-old boy was killed in a dog attack on Jetpar Road. The victim, identified as Kunal Krupal Malviya, was the son of a labourer family working at a local ceramic factory.
The attack reportedly took place within the premises of the ceramic factory where the family lives and works. According to reports, the child sustained severe and fatal injuries during the attack by stray dogs.
The incident is not an isolated one. Over the past three to four days, more than 20 people have reportedly been bitten by stray dogs in different parts of Morbi. Residents have expressed growing anger over the alleged negligence of the municipal corporation in addressing the issue.
Local reports suggest that the administration has yet to launch any major drive to capture stray dogs or announce a concrete plan to tackle the public safety crisis. Municipal authorities have also not issued any official clarification on when measures will be taken to control the stray dog menace in the city.
The local community remains on edge as the lack of administrative intervention continues to raise concerns over public safety following the tragic death of the child. DeshGujarat
