Expired Milk Seized from Burger King Outlet in Rajkot, RMC Imposes Fine

Rajkot: The Health Department of the Rajkot Municipal Corporation (RMC) has seized 72 litres of expired milk from a Burger King outlet located on Kalavad Road in Rajkot during a food safety inspection drive.
According to officials, the expired milk was allegedly being used for preparing shakes and other beverages served to customers. The health department seized the stock and destroyed it on the spot during the inspection.
Following the violation, the civic body imposed an administrative fine of Rs 10,000 on the outlet for compromising public health and food safety standards.
Officials said the action was part of a broader inspection drive carried out by the health department across the city. Along with the Burger King outlet, inspections were also conducted at 21 other food establishments in Rajkot.
The action has created concern among food and beverage traders in the city. Health department officials warned that strict action would be taken against any establishment found selling stale or unsafe food items. DeshGujarat
