Gandhinagar: Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel on Friday performed the groundbreaking ceremony for the new educational campus of ‘Sri Sri Ravi Shankar Vidya Mandir’ at Godhavi in Sanand taluka. The campus will be developed by the Art of Living Foundation.

The proposed campus will offer CBSE-based education along with value-based learning through yoga, meditation, pranayama and mantra chanting. The institution aims to create an inclusive learning environment blending traditional values with modern education.

The campus will include a Sports Academy, Performing and Creative Arts Academy, Technology and Innovation Academy, and a Business Academy to support students’ holistic development and leadership skills.

Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister said responsible citizens are shaped when education is combined with values, spirituality and modernity. He expressed confidence that institutions like Sri Sri Ravi Shankar Vidya Mandir would help prepare students for emerging opportunities in technology and innovation as the Sanand region develops into a semiconductor hub.

Highlighting the state government’s focus on education, Patel said Gujarat has allocated Rs 63,000 crore for the education sector under the ‘Gyan Shakti’ initiative to strengthen the foundation of a Viksit Gujarat. Referring to schemes such as ‘Namo Lakshmi’ and ‘Namo Saraswati Vigyan Sadhana’ aimed at promoting girls’ education, he said the new campus would contribute significantly to the state’s educational vision.

The Chief Minister also praised the ‘Intuition Process’ demonstration presented by students and appreciated the institution’s efforts to promote awareness, discipline and value-based learning among children through yoga and knowledge.

Sanand MLA Kanubhai Patel said the campus would play an important role in shaping the future of students in the region by combining academic education with spiritual and personality development. DeshGujarat
