Jafrabad: A startling CCTV video from Kadiyali village near Jafrabad in Amreli district has captured a tense late-night encounter between a युवक and roaming Asiatic lions.

In the footage, the youth is seen walking through a narrow village street in darkness when he suddenly comes face-to-face with lions moving through the lane. Startled by the unexpected encounter, he immediately turns around and runs to safety. Fortunately, no injuries were reported in the incident.

Kadiyali village has been witnessing frequent movement of wild lions in and around residential areas in recent weeks. Several CCTV clips and mobile phone videos recorded by locals have shown lions roaming through village streets, near houses, and along internal roads, reflecting the growing human-lion interaction in the coastal belt near the Gir landscape.

The increasing presence of Asiatic lions outside forest areas has become a regular phenomenon in parts of Amreli district, especially in villages near the Gir ecosystem. Forest officials often advise residents to avoid venturing out alone at night and to remain alert during lion movement in the area. DeshGujarat
