Gandhinagar: In his weekly cabinet briefing, Gujarat government’s Spokesperson Minister Jitu Vaghani today said that more than 80 per cent of new proposals announced in the Gujarat Budget have already received in-principle approval to ensure that the benefits of new initiatives reach citizens at the earliest.
He added that the Chief Minister instructed departments to expedite approval of the remaining proposals that had been delayed due to election code of conduct-related factors and begin implementation without delay.
With the new academic year set to begin after the summer vacation, the Chief Minister has directed officials to closely monitor scholarship implementation so that no deserving student in the state is deprived of educational assistance they are entitled to.
The Cabinet also reviewed fuel availability across the state. After assessing current petrol and diesel stocks, the Chief Minister directed officials to monitor fuel availability daily through the state control room and ensure uninterrupted supply according to requirements. DeshGujarat
