Rs. 2.56 crore unaccounted cash recovered from a car in Dahod

Dahod: In two major operations, Gujarat Police seized unaccounted cash worth ₹2.56 crore from a car in Dahod.

In Dahod’s Limkheda area, police intercepted a car during routine checking near Dhanpur Chowkdi and recovered three suspicious parcels containing ₹2,56,80,500 in cash. Preliminary investigation suggests the money was being transported from an Angadia firm in Dahod to Vadodara. Driver Rajubhai Ninama failed to produce legal documents and told police that Bharat Chopra had asked him to deliver the cash. The amount was seized under BNSS provisions and the Income Tax Department was informed.

In Surat, a joint operation by Gujarat Police and Rajasthan Police’s Anti-Human Trafficking Unit rescued 93 children allegedly employed in saree packing units in Mukti Dham and Sitaram societies. Most of the children were reportedly trafficked from areas around Udaipur, Rajasthan. Police identified four accused — Gopal Singh Rajput, Dharmesh Solanki, Mahendra Singh Kumawat and Dadam Dongri — while further investigation is underway. Authorities have begun the process of reuniting the children with their families.
