May 18, 2026
Vadodara: Western Railway (WR) has announced temporary changes to the operation of several trains due to a major traffic block for yard remodelling and electronic interlocking work at Vadodara railway station under the Vadodara division.
WR spokesperson Anubhav Saxena said the block has been undertaken to enhance operational safety and improve passenger convenience. As part of the arrangements, a number of trains will either originate or terminate at alternative stations including Vishwamitri, Bajwa and Chhayapuri.
Train number 19819 Vadodara–Kota Express will begin its journey from Chhayapuri station instead of Vadodara from May 18 to May 30, 2026. Services on the Vadodara–Chhayapuri section will remain suspended during this period.
Likewise, train number 19820 Kota–Vadodara Express will terminate at Chhayapuri station from May 17 to May 29, 2026, resulting in the cancellation of services between Chhayapuri and Vadodara.
Train number 19036 Ahmedabad–Vadodara Intercity Express will terminate at Bajwa station from May 18 to May 30, 2026, while train number 19035 Vadodara–Ahmedabad Intercity Express will commence operations from Bajwa station during the same period. The Bajwa–Vadodara stretch will remain non-operational for these services.
Passengers have been advised to verify revised schedules, stoppages and related travel information through the official Indian Railways enquiry platform before commencing their journey. DeshGujarat
