Power Failure Inside IndiGo Aircraft at Vadodara Airport; Flyers Left Without AC, Lights

Vadodara: Passengers on board an IndiGo flight from Vadodara to New Delhi on Saturday night alleged that they were made to remain inside the aircraft for around 30 minutes without air-conditioning after a technical issue delayed take-off at Vadodara airport.

Travellers onboard flight 6E 657 claimed that the aircraft’s air-conditioning system stopped functioning while it remained on the ground, causing discomfort and anxiety among passengers. Some also alleged that the aircraft doors stayed shut during the delay, making conditions inside increasingly uncomfortable.

One passenger, said in a social media post that the delay occurred after the ground pushback system reportedly developed a fault and no replacement equipment was readily available at the airport. He alleged that passengers became agitated due to poor ventilation inside the aircraft.

Responding to the complaint online, IndiGo said it regretted the inconvenience caused and was looking into the matter.

It is learnt that the delay took place before departure procedures were completed. Some passengers also raised concerns over inadequate communication from airline staff during the disruption.

There was no immediate official statement from IndiGo or airport authorities regarding the technical snag or the exact duration of the delay. DeshGujarat
