Gandhinagar: Following its sweeping victory in Gujarat’s local self-government elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party has completed appointments for key positions, including President, Vice President, Executive Committee Chairman, and other leadership posts across municipalities where it secured a majority.

The BJP had registered a landslide victory in 77 of the state’s 84 municipalities in the 2026 local body polls. Appointments have now been finalized for posts such as President, Vice President, Executive Committee Chairman, Leader of the Ruling Party, and Dandak among elected representatives in the municipalities under BJP control, according to a Gujarat Pradesh BJP statement released on Wednesday.

Gujarat BJP President Jagdish Vishwakarma urged newly elected representatives to live up to the trust placed in the party by the people and contribute to Gujarat’s ongoing development journey.
