May 21, 2026
Surat: The Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation (GSRTC), Surat Division, on Wednesday launched three new bus services from Surat, with the key attraction being a premium AC Volvo service connecting Surat’s Adajan area with Ahmedabad’s Nehrunagar. The newly introduced route is expected to provide passengers with a faster and more comfortable travel experience via the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway.
The Volvo service aims to strengthen connectivity between Gujarat’s two major urban centres, Ahmedabad and Surat, by offering a streamlined, non-stop journey through the new highway corridor. The service is expected to benefit daily commuters, business travellers, and tourists seeking a quicker and more convenient travel option.
According to the schedule, the Volvo bus from Surat’s Adajan Bus Stand departs at 7:30 am and reaches Ahmedabad’s Nehrunagar at 12:00 pm. The return service from Ahmedabad’s Nehrunagar leaves at 1:45 pm and reaches Surat’s Adajan Bus Stand at 6:45 pm.
The premium service is priced at ₹702 per seat. Passengers can book tickets digitally through the GSRTC platform and select seats based on availability. The booking system also provides real-time information and seating options.
As per the GSRTC website, the service will operate as a non-stop route via the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway, helping reduce travel time while enhancing passenger comfort.
Apart from the Volvo service, GSRTC also launched two additional routes, the Udhna-Surat to Ahmedabad Gurjarnagari service and the Bardoli to Modasa Express service. All three buses flagged off on Wednesday will operate through the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway corridor. DeshGujarat
