Three Siblings Missing From Surat Home After Father Scolds Them Over Free Fire Online Game
May 21, 2026
Surat: Surat City Police have launched a search operation for three minor siblings who went missing from their home in the Pandol Ved Road area early Tuesday morning. The incident took place at Sahyog Power Looms Society after the children’s father allegedly scolded them for playing the mobile game Free Fire late into the night.
According to the First Information Report (FIR), complainant Dharmendrakumar Ramchandra Nath, a 43-year-old labourer originally from Bihar, told police that his children were playing the online game Free Fire on a mobile phone on the night of May 18, 2026. After scolding them and taking away the phone, the family went to sleep.
However, between 1:30 am and 5:30 am on May 19, the three children — two sons and a daughter — reportedly left the house without informing anyone. Their absence was discovered around 5 am by their elder sister.
Police identified the missing children as Dharmeshkumar (14), who was last seen wearing a black T-shirt and black night pants and is approximately 4 feet 8 inches tall; Avadheshkumar (11), who was wearing a white shirt and blue jeans and is around 4 feet 6 inches tall; and Pinki (9), who was last seen in a maroon salwar suit with a pink dupatta and is approximately 4 feet 4 inches tall.
After searching the neighbourhood, local parks, and relatives’ homes without success, the father filed a formal complaint on May 20. The Chowk Bazar Police Station has registered a case under Section 137(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), which relates to kidnapping.
According to the FIR, police suspect that an unidentified person may have lured the children away from their lawful guardianship. Sub-Inspector Mersinh Babuji Rajput has been assigned to investigate the case.
Police have appealed to the public to immediately share any information regarding the whereabouts of the missing children. DeshGujarat
