Ahmedabad: Traffic restrictions and diversions will be implemented near Kalupur Bridge (Shri Manubhai Parmar Overbridge) from May 22 to May 25 due to ongoing work related to the Mumbai–Ahmedabad Bullet Train project. The restrictions will remain in effect during night hours between 12 am and 6 am.

According to Ahmedabad Traffic Police, Dineshchandra R. Agrawal Infracon Pvt. Ltd., the company executing piling and segment installation work for the Sabarmati–Vatva stretch of the bullet train project, will undertake segment installation work on the bullet train corridor at Kalupur Bridge during the specified period.

Therefore, traffic diversions will be implemented during this period as detailed below:

Road Closed for Vehicular Movement:

The approximately 500-meter stretch from the Kalupur Circle bridge end to the small circle on Kalupur Bridge will remain closed from May 22 to May 25, 2026, only during night hours from 12:00 am to 6:00 am.

Alternative Routes:

For traffic coming from Naroda Road and Saraspur towards Kalupur Circle:

Vehicles can proceed from Saraspur Circle via Nutan Mill Road, take a left at Vorana Roja Crossroads, pass through Dr. Ambedkar Flyover (Chamunda Bridge), continue via Asarwa Civil Hospital Road, Rachna School Road, and Girdharnagar Crossroads, cross Babu Jagjivan Ram Bridge, and proceed via Idgah Road towards Kalupur Circle.

For traffic coming from Rakhial–Gomtipur towards Kalupur Circle:

Vehicles can proceed from Saraspur Circle via Gurudwara Road, continue through Chartoda Kabristan Road, take a left, then take a right at Rakhial Crossroads, proceed through Murga Circle Crossroads, Apparel Park Metro Station, Anupam Cinema Road, Anupam Bridge, Kankaria Road, and Sarangpur Circle to reach Kalupur Circle.

For traffic coming from Relief Road and Delhi Darwaza towards Naroda Road and Saraspur:

Vehicles can travel from Kalupur Circle via Fruit Market, Panchkuva, and Idgah Road, cross Babu Jagjivan Ram Bridge, proceed through Girdharnagar Crossroads, take a right onto Rachna School Road, continue via Asarwa Civil Hospital Road, Mohan Cinema Crossroads and Chamanpura Crossroads, and cross Ambedkar Bridge towards Naroda Road and Saraspur.

For traffic coming from Astodia–Raipur towards Rakhial:

Vehicles can proceed via Kagadapith Police Station, Vanijya Bhavan, Kankaria Road, cross Anupam Bridge, take a left from Anupam Cinema, proceed via Apparel Park Metro Station, Sukhram Crossroads, Murga Circle Crossroads, and continue towards Rakhial.

Traffic coming from Naroda GCS Hospital Road towards Saraspur and Gomtipur can continue using Kalupur Bridge. Similarly, traffic from Saraspur–Gomtipur towards Naroda Road can also use Kalupur Bridge. DeshGujarat
