Pizzainos’ Outlet in Vadodara Accused of Serving Fungus-Infested Pizza to Children

Vadodara: A shocking incident of severe food negligence has emerged in Vadodara’s Manjalpur area, where a popular eatery, ‘Pizzainos’ near Tulsidham, allegedly served fungus-infested pizza and foul-smelling food to a family. The incident has sparked major concerns regarding food safety and restaurant hygiene standards across the city.

Foul Smells and Moldy Discoveries

A family, accompanied by young children, visited the Pizzainos outlet and ordered starters and pizzas. The distressing experience began when the starters arrived emitting a highly foul odor. While the customers initially suspected an issue with the sauce or cheese, the situation escalated when a special “heart pizza” was served to their table.

Upon closer inspection of the pizza base, the customers were horrified to discover a significant amount of fungus growing underneath it. Panic ensued as the parents realized that the children had already consumed a few pieces of the contaminated food, leading to severe anxiety about the potential health repercussions for their kids.

Apathetic Management and Filthy Kitchen

When confronted with the moldy pizza, the outlet’s manager displayed a shocking lack of responsibility. He allegedly tried to dismiss the fungus as mere “burn marks from the pan”.

Unsatisfied with this excuse, the customers engaged with the restaurant’s owner, who attempted to brush off the issue by casually offering to waive the bill. Outraged by this apathy, the customer pointed out that waiving a bill does not absolve the restaurant of its responsibility should the children fall ill. Furthermore, the customers alleged that the restaurant’s kitchen was visibly filthy, operating “rough and tough” with a complete disregard for health, hygiene, and basic safety protocols.

Viral Outrage and Demands for Strict Action

Frustrated by the management’s unacceptable attitude, the vigilant women in the family documented the ordeal by capturing photos and videos of the foul-smelling starters and the mold-covered pizza on their mobile phones. These visuals have since gone viral on social media, sparking widespread public anger.
