Drug case accused escapes Keralam Police custody at Vadodara railway station

Vadodara, May 25: An accused in a drug-related case escaped from the custody of Kerala Police at Vadodara railway station on Sunday, triggering a police search operation.
According to police, accused Mohammed Hanif Abubakar, a resident of Kozhikode in Kerala, was being taken by Kerala Police from Kozhikode to Hazrat Nizamuddin in Delhi aboard the Rajdhani Express for further investigation in a narcotics case.
Police said the accused escaped near Vadodara railway station after allegedly pushing a police constable on the pretext of going towards the station area during transit.
Following the incident, PI Christian of Mukkam Police Station in Kerala lodged a complaint with the Vadodara Railway Police.
A case has been registered and Vadodara Railway Police have launched efforts to trace and arrest the absconding accused.
