SCA postpones SPL Cricket Tournament
May 25, 2026
Rajkot: The recent rise in petrol and diesel prices and related appeal by the Prime Minister to save fuel, work remotely and use of public transport has now impacted domestic cricket, with the Saurashtra Cricket Association (SCA) postponing the upcoming Saurashtra Pro T20 League (SPL) that was scheduled to be held in June.
According to sources associated with the league, the tournament will now be organised in August instead of June. The decision was reportedly taken in view of the current situation and its possible effect on public turnout and travel expenses.
Officials believe that holding the tournament later in the year will help attract a larger number of cricket fans to the stadiums and ensure better participation and attendance during the matches.
The Saurashtra Cricket Association is expected to announce the revised schedule for the league in the coming weeks.
