Ahmedabad Hottest in Gujarat at 43°C as Heat Persists Across State

Ahmedabad: The city recorded the highest maximum temperature in Gujarat at 43°C on Monday, making it the hottest city in the state as intense summer conditions continued to prevail across several regions, according to the latest weather data released by the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
Close behind Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar and Rajkot recorded maximum temperatures of 42.5°C each, while Surendranagar registered 42.3°C. Bhavnagar also experienced intense heat at 41.7°C, followed by Deesa at 41°C and Vadodara at 40.4°C.
Several coastal districts reported comparatively lower temperatures due to maritime influence. Dwarka recorded 33.8°C, Diu 34.2°C and Daman 35°C. Surat registered a maximum temperature of 35.8°C, while Porbandar recorded 36°C.
The minimum temperature in Ahmedabad stood at 28.2°C, while several other major cities also witnessed warm nights. Humidity levels remained high in coastal areas, with Dwarka recording 80% relative humidity and Okha touching 90% during the morning hours.
According to the forecast, heat conditions are likely to persist in several inland districts, particularly in central and north Gujarat, with daytime temperatures expected to remain above the 40°C mark in many areas.
