Air India Flight Cuts: Rajkot – Delhi and Mumbai Routes Suspended Till July-End

Rajkot: Air India has announced the temporary suspension of multiple flight services connecting Rajkot’s Hirasar Airport with Delhi and Mumbai as part of a wider network adjustment due to operational constraints and rising costs.

According to the airline’s revised schedule, flight AI 885 operating from Delhi to Hirasar (HSR) and return service AI 886 from Hirasar to Delhi will remain cancelled from June 2 to July 4 and again from July 9 to July 31, 2026. The daily Delhi–Hirasar flight departs at 7:25 am and arrives at 9:20 am in Rajkot.

In addition, Air India has also suspended its Mumbai–Hirasar route for the entire June–July period. Flights AI 2730 and AI 2731 operating between Mumbai and Hirasar Airport will remain cancelled from June 1 to July 31, affecting daily evening connectivity between Rajkot and Mumbai.

This temporary suspension is part of the airline’s broader revisions to its flight schedules between June and August 2026 due to operational constraints, including airspace restrictions and increased operating costs.

The Rajkot–Delhi and Rajkot–Mumbai routes are considered key air links for business travellers and passengers from the Saurashtra region. The temporary suspension of these services is expected to affect regular flyers and travellers planning journeys during the peak summer and monsoon period.

Air India has stated that passengers affected by the cancellations will be offered re-accommodation on alternate flights, complimentary date changes, or full refunds, wherever applicable.

The airline has also advised passengers to check their updated flight status before travelling to avoid inconvenience. DeshGujarat
