Karamsad Anand Municipal Corporation Gets Its First Mayor

Anand: Around two months after the local body elections, Anand District BJP president Sanjay Patel on Thursday announced the names of the office-bearers for the newly formed Karamsad-Anand Municipal Corporation (KAMC).
Deepikaben Patel has been appointed as the first mayor of the Karamsad-Anand Municipal Corporation, becoming the first woman leader in the civic body’s history to hold the post of the city’s first citizen.
Kamlesh Dabhi has been elected deputy mayor, while Mayur Suthar has been appointed chairman of the standing committee.
In addition, Amit Purohit has been appointed leader of the ruling party in the municipal council, while Hiral Shah has been named party whip (dandak) to ensure coordination and discipline among BJP corporators. DeshGujarat
